<original-body>Hello! First, thanks for the great add-on! Without this add-on I probably wouldn't find WAR worth playing =D

I do have a feature request for Squared. I am wondering if it is possible to assign a key to quickly scan your warband/scenario/group to see who is out of range or out of LoS.

The thing is, when I first started playing WAR, right after release, I used Squared and I am almost 100% positive that such a feature existed. I remember assigning a key and I could hit it and it would do a quick scan. It caused a small amount of lag, but it was no big deal as long as I wasn't actively beating on somebody.

Is it possible to re-implement that feature? Or have various patches made it impossible?

Thanks!</original-body>

<original-body>I would like the ability to create my own indicators while in-game. Specifically, this would be for HoTs (debuffs would also be nice). Maybe you could do this by searching for text (like Aura) or assigning an ability ID (like NerfedButtons), then you could choose a color and the position of the indicator (like you can already do with the general Buffs and Debuffs already that comes with Squared).

Example:

I only use http://www.wardb.com/spell.aspx?id=9550. Since it takes up the Buff spot in Squared, if I cast another HoT like http://www.wardb.com/spell.aspx?id=9573, then it becomes hard to track when each ends. If I could assign a custom indicator for each, then I would be able to easily tell when one ends and I should recast it.

Many times I am responsible for healing my group only, it would be nice if it was the first listed.

Also, when it would be nice to always have myself in the same position for times of duress and panic.

I issued this under warband, but it would be very useful in any multigroup situation.

The player listed as the first group member would be useful all of the time.</original-body>

<original-body>Please consider an option to color code borders based on Ailments, Curses, Hexes, ect that your class can cure? Personally I can't run indicators as they block important parts of the player display, but would still like to know that they are in need of having debuffs removed.

I don't think any class can cure more then two types, so even if it doesn't do a class check there could still be an option to have 2 colors (affliction 1 and affliction 2) and then have a pulldown box with all the types of afflictions that could be assigned to those colors.</original-body>

<original-body>I use squared for scenerio groups only, and have a small issue: My group members in the squared window will be shown out of order as compared to my party window. Can you make the squared window layout so that the group I am in will be in the same order as my party window, such that the group selection keys F1-F6 match up with how my group members are ordered in the squared window? In that F1 selects myself, and I will be the first player in the squared group(going left to right in my case). F2 will select the second player shown in my squared group and so on.

I love the options available to customize squared as it is. Thanks much.</original-body>

<original-body>I would love to have an option that would allow Squared frames to Not lose the fade by themselves.
I'll try to explain with an example.

Lets imagine that the warband is a bit scattered, and you have only a few members near you, being from random WB Groups.
When clicking a frame of a non local wb member, the frame fades.
Now, If I click every frame, only the near WB Members will stay not faded, but in a short time, all the other frames will "come back" from their faded aspect.

What I'm proposing, is an option in Squared, that wouldn't allow frames to "de-fade" by themselves, but rather only if clicked (and Target is in range/LoS obviously).

That would help me as an healer greatly in a few situations, that are not that rare.

<original-body>Consolodating some Texture option ideas here:

1) Setting an overally Alpha on each Texture used. (Would allow a lot of various effects, including being able to keep the overall Alpha high, be drop the BG Texture way down, or keep the FG low, BG high to create a kind of metered look, while the overall Alpha lowered a bit so it doesn't obscure as much vision, etc.)
2) A "Cut" Texture Scaling Option (I think that's the right term.) mainly desired because I'm presently using non-squares and they don't fill quite the same way a square does. But it's valid even for the curved "bar" textures in the SharedLib.
3) A non-active texture, which could be set essentially as a Frame. (Set it's position in relation to each players Square/Bar and then "Background" or "Overlay" in terms of if it's drawn behind or on top of the active FG/BG textures.)
4) Portraits! Sorry but I really kinda like being able to have fancy graphics as options and the idea of being able to turn those on and set their position ala the Career Icons... well, it'd look really cool to have Portraits sized and alphaed down in the center of squares that change colors and fill over then or even the just sit next to or above Bars, etc.</original-body>

<original-body>So far I've found using anything other than Squared for a Unit Frame to be a waste of effort on my part, designing wise. Simply because of the inherent flexibility, simplicity and functionality of Squared.

However, it is rather limiting from a Layout standpoint because there is one Anchor for all the modes, Solo, Party, Scenario and Warband. (Honestly I'm not running WAR now and I can't recall if Party is a mode or not.) As it is now, we can turn on and off the ones we don't want, or disable everything entirely.

The more I play my healers the more I've found the desire to be able to have my Party here, the rest of the Scenario or Warband over there and oh yea, this is ME.

Being able to "seperate" them and chose to have them On or Off, and if they're On, be Always On or just OnIF.

For example, what I'd envision is potentially being able to replace my Player Indicator with Squared Solo. Near that would be the members of my Squard Party, perferably an option for just the other five but even if it were all six that'd be fine too. Then elsewhere I could place the other groups, be it Squared Scenario or Squared Warband.

Also potentially with exclusionary options if other modes are being used. Include Solo in Party Checkbox, Include Party in Scenario and Warband Checkbox, etc. That way me and my party could still ALSO there so if I'm in a situation where the whole group is relatively together I just play whack a mole over there. But, if my party is together and doing something apart from the larger group, I can shift my focus JUST to me and my party.

I've thought that maybe this sort of thing would be doable with all the SquaredAPI work you've put in, and not really where you want to take the project, but after looking into it, I realized it's not doable by me. So I thought I'd ticket it and even if you decline maybe someone (even you) might write a seperate SquaredFrames type addon.</original-body>

Loging a ticket for your convenience:

I am using 3.5.2 now on Live and the character names are constantly jumping from above to middle and back.. The name is set to display in the upper position. If I change the setting to middle or lower, it doesn't jump around.

It does it in scenarios, not sure if it does it outside of scenarios.

I have the following text setup:

Name (upper)
Level (middle)
AP (lower)

I am using 3.5.2 now on Live and the character names are constantly jumping from above to middle and back.. The name is set to display in the upper position. If I change the setting to middle or lower, it doesn't jump around.

It does it in scenarios, not sure if it does it outside of scenarios.

I have the following text setup:

Name (upper)
Level (middle)
AP (lower)

all right aligned, all small bold, other text not shown.

<original-body>Well, after the newest patch, something is going wrong with my Squared bars. I set the Level Label on upper position, with tiny font. It was okay until this new patch, when I see my label going from middle to top. Any ideas what might be causing this? (No debug messages)</original-body>
